Typically no, as the pigment is filling the pores in the concrete that the sealer needs to penetrate
-
just laid down 16 yards of concrete in minnesota. I like your product, but I have a challenge with the technical specifications. If I wait 28 days for cure, the temperatures will be below the recommended 45 degrees. What would you suggest I do or which is the best option to choose. Apply earlier than 28 days or take a chance on the temperature being below 45 degrees.
Recommend 14 days minimum cure time, and as long as the temperature is 40 degrees or above during application, and above 32 for 8 hours, you should be fine.
-
On new concrete, will it need an aggressive power washing before applying this product? Concrete is one day old -- when should I apply this?
Depends on the finish of the concrete. Is it broom finished or smooth?
You should apply after 28 days of cure -
I’ve used a water based stain to change the color of a slate floor. I was told that I should use a silane product to seal it. I prefer a matte finish. Thanks
Typically for a stained floor, you want a surface sealer. Silane sealers are typically a penetrating sealer and don't do enough to protect the stain. I would suggest this: https://www.concreteandcurbingsource.com/collections/ghost-shield/products/ghostshield-cryli-tek-5500

What is the sugars foot coverage of this product?
250 sq feet per gallon or ready to use or when the concentrate is mixed properly. It is recommended for 2 coats initially. So if you had 500 square feet it would recommended to get 4 ready to use or 1 concentrate to be mixed.

What's the minimum and maximum temperature this can be applied in? Highs next two weeks are in the 50s/60s with lows in the 30s.
Surface and air temperatures must be at least 40°F during application. Surface and air temperatures should not exceed 95°F. Do not apply when temperatures are expected to fall below 32°F within 8 hours or when rain is expected within 12 hours following application
-
How long does this protect the concrete before I need to reapply? 5 years? 10 years? Any steps necessary before reapplying?

What is the percentake of solid in s-tek 8500
Since it is a penetrating sealer, it isn't spec'd on percent solids, but percent actives, which is 40%. You don't want solids in penetrating sealers.
-
why can't I use this product over ardex v 1200. It was first recommended to use 4500 first coat and then 8500 for the second coat. What will happen to the ardex v 1200 if sealed with this product? will it break down the ardex? The thickness of the ardex is only 1/4" max to a feather finish. there's more 1/8" to feather finish
I dont see anything in the product data that says you cant use it on Ardex.

I have a Sand Stone chimney that appears to be leaking into my home not through the roof but through the stone and or mortar joints. The chimney is 30 years old. What product do you recommend to correct this problem? How often should I re-apply after the initial application? Is it better to spray or roll it on? Thank you!
Any of the Ghost Shield Siloxa-Tek lines would work for sealing sandstone. My go to is the Siloxa-Tek 8510 as it provides the longest protection. I would reccomend two coats, wet on wet, and you shouldnt have to touch it for 10 years.
Roll or spray is a matter of preference, but for a vertical application, we prefer rolling as you have lest waste. -
Do you accept tax exempt certificates?
Yes we do.
-
Do you have the primer for a concrete kitchen counter. ?
Ghostshield doesnt make a countertop primer, however they do make a few different countertop specific sealers. Check out the countertop specific products here:

For a fountain, we would recommend Siloxa-Tek 8510. It can be applied with a brush, roller or sprayer.
-
What is the best method to apply this product?
We generally prefer a roller application as it allows for a more even distribution of product. For this product, you would want to use a 3/8" nap roller and apply until the surface is saturated. If applying two coats, make sure to use a wet on wet application.
-

Built a new garden home and moved in Dec. 2023. We have a covered back porch plus had a patio extended off the porch. The porch and patio is aggregate concrete. We also had a 3’ high brick wall added to the perimeter of the patio. Can the 8500 sealer be used on both the concrete and brick wall ? The porch/patio is 272 sq feet and the brick wall is 203 sq feet. I want to order the ready to use in Gal. size, how many gallons should I order ?

Yes it is.

Can I use this after painting my cement around my pool with cool paint
Unfortunately it won't penetrate through the paint in to the concrete, so won't be effective for that application.
-
I intend to use the 8505 after my new slab has reached the 28 day cure. The surface is lightly broom finished. The perimeter has a rounded edge leaving a 3” smooth border from the tool. There is no dirt but should I etch the entire slab to be sure it’s “open” for the 8505 application? I would use the 1001 etch. If so, how strong an etch mix?
You shouldn't need to etch a broom finish.
For the 1001, here are the instructions for mixing.
1. Only mix with water. Mix solution slowly in an open-top plasticcontainer. Stir gently. Ratio varies by desired use: for a lighter etch, two (2) parts water to one (1) part Eco-Etch 1001; for a medium etch, one (1) part water to one (1) part Eco-Etch 1001 and for a heavieretch, full strength. -
I’ve read through all of your material. I’m wanting to make sure there’s not a gloss affect from the sealant on the brick.
There is no gloss. It may darken the brick slightly but it's a natural finish

Will the 8500, or a penetrating sealer help with concrete dusting?

I have leak Under my roof clay tile. If I spray so this product goes under tile & penetrates underlayment will it help seal underlayment
If it is normal felt underlayment, it won't penetrate and seal. You could try a surface sealer like Diamond Clear but not sure how well it would go.

The 8505 and 8510 are but the 8500 is not

Most likely not as the hiperguard will prevent the 8500 from penetrating in to the concrete.
-
Can Davis Colors pigment be added to this sealer to hide blemishes in new pigment dyed concrete ?
Siloxa-Tek is a penetrating sealer so doesn't work with color. You would be looking to use a surface sealer if you want to add pigment. If you let us know where you are located, we can make some suggestions.
-

It may yellow or temporarily stunt the growth but shouldn't kill it.
-

-
How many square feet does one gallon of siloxa-tek 8500 cover and is adequate for a brushed concrete patio 16’ diameter. Thanks

-

Depending on conditions and number of coats, 5 to 10 years.
-
Applying to an older driveway with a crack and some pock marks. What should I use on the crack and should I apply that before or after Ghostshield? And I’m hoping just Ghostshield would be sufficient for the pock marks. Thoughts?
You can find a crack filler at most home improvement stores, this would go down before the 8500. The 8500 won't fill the pock marks, but will help prevent future ones from occurring
-
3000 sq 'stamped concrete little over a year old. Last winter road salts spalled badly . Should I use 8500 or 9500 ? Also used a cheap big box sealer which did nothing to protect, just gave a shine. It looks as though the sealer is gone. Do I need to do any prep besides cleaning ?
I would pressure wash first. Also the 8500 will protect against salt better than the 9500.
-
Can this be applied directly to the concrete or does a primer need to be applied first? If so what kind of primer?
Yes it can be applied directly. You can use a primer if you want, in which case, Lithi-Tek 4500 would be the choice
