Concrete Stain

Concrete stain can be used to create a variety of looks, from understated elegance to bold statements. You can match the stain to an existing color scheme, or use it to create a consistent monochromatic design.

There are two main types of concrete stain: acid-based and water-based:
  • Acid-based stains
These stains react chemically with the limestone in concrete to create a permanent bond. They are ideal for creating neutral tones and shades of blue or green, and can produce a marbling effect.
  • Water-based stains
These stains soak into the concrete surface to deposit pigment particles into open pores. They are easier to apply than acid stains and come in a wider range of colors, but they are more opaque and uniform
